Door weight

There is around 560in2 of window in the doors or 3.89ft2 . I think this is the thing that adds so much weight as I'm not omitting the door handles.

Currently there is 3/16 plexi in the doors which is about 1.09 lbs per sq ft or 4.24lbs per side. If I go to .093 plexi then wrap with aluminum edges, then in theory I can get down to ditch nearly half the weight.
